The Kanniyakumari and Tirunelveli districts in Tamil Nadu have achieved the third and fourth ranks, respectively, in the state-wide Plus Two examination pass percentages. Tirunelveli district significantly improved its standing from 16th to 4th place, with an overall pass rate driven by strong performance in government schools. Chief Educational Officer M. Sivakumar attributed this success to targeted pedagogical strategies for slow learners, which raised the government school pass percentage from 92.57% to 96.02%. Specifically, boy students' pass rates in government schools rose to 92.91%, while girls achieved 97.83%. Kanniyakumari recorded a 97.63% pass rate with 120 schools achieving 100% results. Other districts also showed improvement; Thoothukudi moved up to sixth place with a 97.24% pass rate, and Tenkasi secured the eighth rank with 97.18%. District Collector R.
