INTACH to Organize All-India 'Tree of Life' Poster Competition in Thiruvananthapuram

The Heritage Education and Communication Service (HECS) division of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) is organizing an all-India poster competition titled 'Tree of Life.' This event is specifically targeted at school students in Classes 7 to 9. Scheduled to take place on April 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. onwards, the competition will be held at the historic Saraswati Vilasom Palace in West Fort, Thiruvananthapuram. Participants are required to create a poster depicting an indigenous tree or shrub native to their region, highlighting unique characteristics such as leaves, bark, flowers, or fruits, along with the associated life forms found on and around the plant. In addition to the visual artwork, students must submit a supporting write-up explaining their choice and observations. Entry to the competition is free of charge. This initiative aims to foster awareness about local biodiversity and cultural heritage among young students through artistic expression and educational engagement.
