Indian Railways Launches Weekly Narsapur-Tirupati Express Service from April 27

The Ministry of Railways in India has officially approved the operation of a new weekly express train connecting Narsapur and Tirupati, with services scheduled to commence on April 27, 2026. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity for pilgrims and travelers between North Andhra and the prominent religious hub of Tirupati. Train No. 17428 will depart from Narsapur at 3:50 p.m. on Mondays, starting April 27, while the return service, Train No. 17427, will leave Tirupati at 10:10 p.m. on Sundays, beginning May 3, 2026. The route includes significant stops at Palakollu, Bhimavaram Junction, Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, and Renigunta. To accommodate diverse passenger needs, the trains will feature a mix of coaches, including AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class, and general second class compartments. This development reflects ongoing efforts by Indian Railways to expand regional transport infrastructure and facilitate easier access to major pilgrimage sites in Andhra Pradesh.
