ICAI Coimbatore Urges Class XII Graduates to Pursue Chartered Accountancy
Following the announcement of Class XII public examination results in Tamil Nadu, the Coimbatore branch of the Southern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has actively encouraged students and parents to consider Chartered Accountancy as a viable career path. CA Survajith S. Krishnan, chairman of the ICAI Coimbatore branch, highlighted that the profession has evolved beyond traditional accounting and auditing. He emphasized emerging opportunities in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, global taxation, financial consulting, insolvency, and sustainability reporting. Krishnan noted that students completing their secondary education can directly enroll in the CA course, paving the way for careers in practice, industry, banking, consulting, and entrepreneurship. To support this initiative, the branch is conducting various career awareness programs, counseling sessions, and mentorship initiatives. Additionally, it was announced that Coimbatore has been selected as one of 21 centers to host the ICAI Convocation 2026 on May 23. During this event, newly qualified Chartered Accountants will receive their Certificates of Membership and Certificates of Practice, marking a significant milestone in their professional journey.
