Huawei hosted its annual Developer Conference (HDC 2025) in Dongguan from June 20 to 22, focusing on the theme “Cloud for Everything, Intelligence for the Future.” The event highlighted significant advancements in Huawei’s self-developed operating system, including the launch of the HarmonyOS 6 developer beta and the new Harmony Intelligence Framework. Yu Chengdong, chairman of Huawei’s consumer business group, announced that over 40 devices currently run HarmonyOS 5, with more than 9,000 apps participating in system innovation efforts. The ecosystem now supports over 30,000 integrated applications.
