Huawei has officially launched HarmonyOS NEXT, marking a significant milestone as the world's third major mobile operating system alongside Android and iOS. Announced by Yu Chengdong, Chairman of Huawei’s Consumer BG, this self-developed platform is the first mobile OS originating from China. The HarmonyOS ecosystem now supports over one billion devices globally. HarmonyOS NEXT represents the largest upgrade since the system's 2019 debut, featuring full-stack self-development including its own kernel, file system, and AI frameworks, thereby eliminating reliance on foreign technologies.
