Huawei and BAIC Launch Stelato S9T Wagon in China
On September 16, Stelato, a premium electric vehicle brand jointly developed by Huawei and BAIC, officially launched the S9T wagon in China. This release marks the brand's first entry into the wagon segment. The lineup features four versions, including an extended-range variant starting at RMB 309,800 (approximately US$43,000) and a pure-electric model starting at RMB 329,800 (approximately US$45,800). Deliveries are scheduled to commence on September 21. Built on Huawei’s new Tuling 3.0 platform, the S9T is equipped with advanced technical features such as five-level adjustable air suspension, adaptive damping, and a six-in-one vehicle control architecture. It also introduces Huawei’s ADS 4 advanced driver-assistance system, which utilizes 36 sensors, including lidar. The extended-range version offers a CLTC range of up to 1,305 km, while the pure-electric variant provides up to 801 km with a 100 kWh battery and 800V fast charging capabilities. This launch highlights the continued collaboration between tech giant Huawei and automotive manufacturer BAIC in the competitive Chinese EV market.
