Huawei-backed HIMA Surpasses 1 Million Vehicle Deliveries
The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), a smart mobility ecosystem backed by Huawei, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1 million cumulative vehicle deliveries. Richard Yu, Huawei’s Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, announced that this target was reached within 43 months of the alliance's launch. HIMA’s current portfolio features collaborations with major Chinese automakers, including AITO with Seres, Luxeed with Chery, Stelato with BAIC, Maextro with JAC, and SAIC Shangjie with SAIC, targeting various high-end smart vehicle segments. In 2024 alone, HIMA delivered 444,956 vehicles, securing the top position among new-energy automakers in China. The alliance reported an average transaction price of RMB 379,000 (approximately US$52,000), reflecting its focus on the premium market. Notably, its flagship models, the AITO M9 and M7, have each exceeded 100,000 units in deliveries. This achievement underscores Huawei’s growing influence in the intelligent automotive sector through its partnership model, combining its technological expertise in software and connectivity with established manufacturing capabilities from traditional carmakers to compete effectively in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle landscape.
