Horizon Hunters Gathering Announces Second PS5 and PC Playtest for Late May
PlayStation and developer Guerrilla Games have announced the second closed playtest for their upcoming tactical co-op action game, Horizon Hunters Gathering. Scheduled to run from May 22nd to May 25th, 2026, the test will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Interested players can register through the PlayStation Beta Program, though access is not guaranteed for all applicants. This upcoming session introduces significant new content, including two new hunters: Ensa, an Oseram smuggler, and Shadow, a Carja operative commanding a Stalker machine. Participants will also experience a new narrative episode, offering insights into the game's campaign and central mysteries. Additionally, the test features a new region called Breakers' Bounty, characterized by dense jungles and desert ruins, along with increased difficulty levels for existing modes like Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent. Improvements based on feedback from the previous February beta are also included. Notably, the update introduces friendly hunter NPCs to support solo players or fill spots in co-op teams. The game, described as a three-player tactical experience focused on fighting deadly machines, has not yet confirmed whether it will be a premium or free-to-play title upon release.
