M.M. Hills Receives Waste Management Upgrade Under 'Green Tomorrow' Initiative

In a significant move to address environmental challenges at the Male Mahadeshwara Hills pilgrimage site in Karnataka, new waste management machinery was inaugurated under the 'Green Tomorrow–M.M. Hills' campaign. The initiative aims to tackle the growing issue of solid waste generated by the large number of devotees visiting the sacred center. Chamarajanagar Deputy Commissioner Shreerupa officially launched the facility, which is designed to enable efficient segregation and scientific disposal of waste. The primary objective of this project is to make the hills plastic-free and ensure long-term environmental sustainability. By implementing modern waste processing techniques, authorities hope to mitigate ecological concerns associated with high footfall at the religious site.
