Greater Bengaluru Authority to Launch Online Khata Correction Service

The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has announced the imminent rollout of an online facility for correcting khata details, aiming to streamline property record management for citizens in Bengaluru. Munish Moudgil, the Special Commissioner for Revenue and IT at the GBA, revealed that this initiative is designed to eliminate procedural delays and reduce the need for residents to visit government offices for minor corrections. The move addresses numerous complaints regarding the inconvenience of physical visits for small administrative changes. By digitizing this process, the GBA intends to make the system more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly. This development is part of a broader effort to enhance civic services, which also includes plans to establish ten comprehensive citizen service centers known as GBA Guarantee Seva Kendras across the city. The introduction of this online correction option marks a significant step towards modernizing local governance and improving the ease of doing business and living in Bengaluru by leveraging technology to simplify bureaucratic procedures.
