DMK Minister T.M. Anbarasan Confident of Victory in Tamil Nadu 2026 Elections

Tamil Nadu MSME Minister T.M. Anbarasan expresses strong confidence in the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party's prospects for the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections. Contesting from the Alandur constituency, he highlights his administration's governance record, including significant infrastructure developments such as the extension of the MRTS network and flood mitigation projects. Addressing the political landscape, Anbarasan acknowledges the entry of actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) but asserts that the DMK’s organizational strength remains intact. He suggests that anti-incumbency votes traditionally directed at the AIADMK may shift to TVK, potentially benefiting the DMK. The minister also outlines efforts to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) post-pandemic through capital subsidies and rent extensions. Furthermore, he details initiatives to foster entrepreneurship, including investments in start-ups via the TANSEED fund and the establishment of regional innovation hubs to decentralize growth beyond Chennai. Anbarasan promises to complete pending amenities like piped water and underground drainage systems if the party returns to power.
