DJI to Launch Mini 5 Pro Drone with 1-Inch Sensor and OcuSync 4 Plus
DJI has announced the upcoming launch of its new flagship lightweight drone, the Mini 5 Pro, scheduled for release tomorrow. Weighing under 250 grams, the device allows users in most global regions to operate it without mandatory registration. According to sources, the Mini 5 Pro will feature a significant upgrade with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, capable of recording 4K video at 120 frames per second. The drone includes a 225-degree gimbal rotation for lossless vertical shooting and a LiDAR laser obstacle-avoidance system designed to provide omnidirectional protection, even during night-time operations. Intelligent tracking speeds are expected to reach up to 15 meters per second. A major technological advancement is the introduction of OcuSync 4 Plus transmission technology, which reportedly offers a transmission range of up to 20 kilometers for the US version. Battery life options include a standard 36-minute model and a long-endurance 52-minute variant. The starting price is anticipated to be approximately RMB 6,691, equivalent to roughly $939. This release marks a significant step in consumer drone technology, combining high-performance imaging capabilities with regulatory-friendly weight limits and advanced connectivity features for enhanced user experience.
