Delhi Manhunt: Suspect Poses as Technician to Attack Residents with Cleaver
Residents in Delhi's Pitampura and Keshavpuram areas are living in fear due to an unidentified man who poses as a service technician to target homes. Operating primarily during midday when women and children are alone, the suspect rings doorbells under the guise of being a delivery boy or repairman. On May 8, CCTV footage captured him attempting to enter a home in Keshavpuram; when a woman opened the door, he brandished a large cleaver. After she raised an alarm, he shoved her and fled, discarding a sickle-like weapon nearby. This incident follows a similar attack on April 21 in Maurya Enclave, where the accused allegedly held a teenager hostage and stole cash and jewelry worth millions of rupees. Although victims' families have identified the suspect as 55-year-old Ajay Bagga, police have not officially confirmed his identity. Despite clear CCTV evidence and ongoing raids, the suspect remains at large after nearly 20 days, prompting heightened anxiety among locals who now scrutinize visitors carefully before opening their doors.
