DEEP Robotics Unveils DR02, the World’s First All-Weather Industrial Humanoid Robot
China-based DEEP Robotics has officially launched the DR02, an industrial-grade humanoid robot claimed to be the world’s first with full-body IP66 waterproof and dustproof protection. Designed for robust performance in complex environments, the DR02 operates effectively in temperatures ranging from –20°C to 55°C, enabling all-weather and all-scenario applications such as factory operations and outdoor security patrols. Standing 175 cm tall, the robot features a human-like design with a standard walking speed of 1.5 m/s and a maximum speed of 4 m/s. It is capable of climbing 20 cm stairs, navigating 20° slopes, and carrying payloads up to 20 kg. The device incorporates a modular quick-detach design for efficient maintenance and is powered by a 275 TOPS computing unit alongside a multi-sensor system for real-time environmental perception and path planning. According to DEEP Robotics, the DR02 addresses a significant industry limitation regarding robots' adaptability to harsh real-world conditions.
