Contractors Showdown ExFilZone Launches PvE Mode in Fourth Wipe Update
Caveman Studio has officially released the fourth wipe update for its virtual reality extraction shooter, Contractors: Showdown ExFilZone. The most significant addition is a new Player versus Environment (PvE) mode, which supports both solo play and three-player squads. While the solo experience is free for all game owners, cooperative squad play requires the purchase of the $9.99 Fireteam Elite add-on, though only one squad member needs to own it to unlock the feature. This DLC also includes exclusive skins and gear. Notably, the PvE mode features a separate progression track, ensuring that regular PvP wipes do not affect player progress in this mode. Beyond the new game mode, the update introduces a dynamic weather system with fog and rain, a redesigned headquarters layout, equipment vouchers for loadout presets, direct item selling at kiosks, and an overhauled economy system. To celebrate the launch, a daily login event offering rewards and a limited-time character skin will run for the first 20 days. The game remains available on Meta Quest and Steam platforms, marking a substantial content expansion for the VR title.
