Congress MPs Demand Expunging of Tejasvi Surya’s Remarks on Telangana

Additionally, they questioned the silence of BJP MPs from Telangana and criticized Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for not condemning Surya's statements. The protesters also staged a dharna within the Parliament premises, calling for an apology from Surya. Speaker Birla reportedly assured the delegation that the remarks would be examined for potential expungement. The incident has heightened political tensions between the Congress and BJP in the region, with Congress leaders accusing the ruling party of arrogance and insensitivity toward the state's history and sacrifices.
