The investment round included participation from the Broadbent Group, Good & Well, AgeTech Capital, Deokali Capital, Eventi Capital Partners, and Flow Capital, alongside notable individual investors. Since shifting its focus to SMEs in 2020, Common Wealth has significantly expanded, tripling its employer base and quadrupling assets under administration in early 2024 alone. The company currently serves over 1,500 organizations across Canada. CEO Alex Mazer stated that the new capital will be used to expand distribution, invest in product development including AI, and grow the team. Common Wealth aims to address the gap in retirement security for millions of Canadian employees whose employers lack competitive benefit options, a sector dominated by large insurance companies with limited innovation.
