Cab Driver Robbed at Knifepoint by Three Men in Bengaluru

A cab driver named Ramesh D. filed a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara police in Bengaluru, alleging he was robbed by three unidentified men on May 8, 2026. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. near Doddanagamangala main road while Ramesh was stopped on his bike, speaking on his mobile phone. Three men in a car approached him under the pretext of asking for directions. While one distracted him, the other two forcibly removed ₹2,400 from his shirt pocket. When Ramesh resisted, one assailant brandished a knife and threatened to stab him. Another suspect searched his pockets, while a third snatched his mobile phone. As the attackers attempted to flee in their vehicle, the stolen phone slipped and fell onto the road, allowing Ramesh to recover it. Due to panic, he could not note the vehicle's registration number. He later informed his brother and reported the crime to the police. The suspects remain at large, and investigations are ongoing by the local authorities in Parappana Agrahara.
