BlackGate VR Horror Game Introduces New Unlockable Alien Character, the Titan
Fun Train has released a significant update for BlackGate, an asymmetric multiplayer virtual reality sci-fi horror game available on Meta Quest. The update, launched on April 17, 2026, introduces the Titan, the second playable alien character in the title. Inspired by games like Dead By Daylight, BlackGate features four players cooperating as astronaut engineers to repair a space station while evading a single alien opponent. The Titan possesses unique abilities, including a sonic roar that paralyzes engineers, alongside smash and dash attacks. While the engineer role is free-to-play, accessing alien characters requires the $19.99 'BlackGate Premium Game' add-on, which initially unlocks only the original Squid alien. Players can unlock the new Titan character by reaching level 20 in the paid version or by purchasing it as an additional $9.99 add-on. In addition to the new character, developer Fun Train has teased a future map update named Cargo. This expansion aims to enhance gameplay variety and maintain player engagement within the growing VR horror genre.
