The Bapatla district administration in Andhra Pradesh has established a district-level safety committee to regulate adventure tourism and ensure visitor safety. District Collector V. Vinod Kumar issued orders under the Andhra Pradesh Adventure Tourism Guidelines, 2025, mandating the committee to identify adventure zones, grant no-objection certificates, monitor safety standards, and address violations through quarterly meetings. Coinciding with this regulatory move, Tourism Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy officially launched paramotor and jet ski rides at Ramapuram beach in Chirala mandal on April 19, 2026. The inauguration was part of the “Dive Chirala” programme and attended by APTDC Chairman Nukasani Balaji and local officials. Minister Parthasarathy emphasized that tourist safety is paramount and assured that these initiatives would generate employment for youth without disrupting fishermen's livelihoods. Additionally, APTDC Chairman Balaji reviewed infrastructure development worth ₹97.52 crore at Suryalanka beach under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, urging officials to enhance cleanliness, lifeguard services, and surveillance to elevate the coastline to international tourism standards.
