Bandi Sanjay’s Son Files Police Complaint Alleging Blackmail and Extortion

Bandi Sai Bageerath, the son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has lodged a formal police complaint in Karimnagar against three members of a family, alleging criminal intimidation, extortion, and harassment. The complainant stated that he initially met the daughter through a mutual friend and participated in various social and religious trips with the family, including visits to temples in Vijayawada, Arunachalam, and Tirumala. However, the family's behavior reportedly shifted, with the parents pressuring him to marry their daughter. Upon his refusal, they allegedly threatened to file false criminal cases against him. Fearful of these threats, Bageerath paid ₹50,000 to the father, but the family subsequently demanded an additional ₹5 crore. The Karimnagar Two Town police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation. The complaint also notes that other friends had previously filed similar complaints against the same trio at the Nirmal police station, where an FIR was reportedly registered in April. Bageerath has requested a thorough investigation into the alleged acts of intimidation and attempted extortion.
