Ballari SP's Gunman Arrested for Extorting Laborer in Karnataka
Karnataka Police have arrested Devraj, an Armed Police Constable serving as the gunman for Ballari Superintendent of Police Suman Pennekar, and another individual for allegedly extorting Rs 3 lakh from a laborer. The incident occurred when three men, claiming to be personnel from the SP’s office, intercepted vehicles transporting ration rice to Andhra Pradesh. They threatened the driver, Sharabhayya, with legal action and vehicle seizure, initially demanding Rs 5 lakh before settling for Rs 3 lakh.
