The violation was identified after a video showing four men dumping waste was submitted to Mayor Greg Gasataya, who ordered an immediate investigation. Police Station 2 successfully identified the truck owner, who subsequently admitted to instructing his workers to dump the debris and apologized to officials. The owner was penalized for violating City Ordinance No. 596 and Republic Act No. 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act. He agreed to pay a P2,500 fine along with an additional P270 fee based on the truck's 2.7 cubic meter capacity. Furthermore, he was ordered to remove the dumped debris.
