Ant Group, in collaboration with leading universities including Peking University and Nanyang Technological University, has opened registration for the third annual AFAC Financial Intelligence Competition. This initiative aims to cultivate next-generation AI talent by connecting academic research with real-world financial challenges. Unlike typical hackathons, AFAC presents curated problem sets derived from actual corporate pain points, inviting students and researchers to develop practical AI-driven solutions. The competition features two distinct tracks: a Developer Track focusing on technical challenges such as forecasting fund cycles, cross-validating insurance policies, optimizing financial decision-making reasoning, and generating multimodal reports; and a Startup Track encouraging entrepreneurial innovations in financial productivity.
