AMMK Chief Dhinakaran Accuses TVK of Submitting Forged Support Letter to Tamil Nadu Governor

T.T.V. Dhinakaran, chief of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), has accused the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of submitting a forged letter to the Governor of Tamil Nadu. The alleged document claimed that AMMK’s lone MLA-elect, S. Kamaraj, supported TVK in the ongoing government formation process. Dhinakaran stated that TVK submitted a photocopy of a WhatsApp message rather than an original document and fled when asked for verification. He announced that his party would file a police complaint regarding the incident, asserting that TVK attempted to bypass anti-defection laws through forgery. Conversely, TVK denied these allegations, releasing a video purportedly showing Kamaraj voluntarily writing a support letter for their party. This dispute occurs amidst critical negotiations for forming the new Tamil Nadu government, with AMMK having separately submitted a genuine letter supporting AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
